1984 - The founder of the temple, Master Wu, purchased a building in downtown Toronto and began the renovation of the Great Compassion Monastery.
1986 - Dabei Temple was completed and consecrated
1994 - As the Dabei Jingshe was too cramped, the old monk decided to expand it and bought an old theater. After some renovation, it was built into the Zhengjue Temple to facilitate the practice of sentient beings.
1996 - The temple was completed and consecrated. The first short-term monastic ceremony was held. The Venerable Shang Jing Xia Xin passed on the lineage of Linji Dharma to the Venerable Shang Wu Xia De.
2000 - Held the second short-term monastic event.
2014 The founder of the temple, Master Shangwu Xiade, passed away. A memorial ceremony was held at Zhengjue Temple.
2015 The enthronement ceremony was held, and Master Xia Zong took over as the second abbot.
? ? - Start renovation and renovation project.
2024 - Organize a grand ceremony to impart the Bodhisattva precepts to lay people.
